Merger of CSIR-NISCAIR and CSIR-NISTADS to form CSIR-NIScPR

CSIR- NISCAIR + CSIR-NISTADS = CSIR-NIScPR

CSIR vide their OM No. 5-1(762)/2021-PD dated 28.05.2021 have conveyed the approval of competent Authority to the merger of CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (CSIR- NISCAIR), New Delhi and CSIR National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS) into a new institute named as National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), New Delhi. 

Inauguration of NIScPR a National Institute of Science Communication & Policy Research by Hon’ble Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on 14th Jan 2021

Accordingly:

1. All the existing scientific, technical , administrative and other staff of erstwhile CSIR-NISCAIR and CSIR-NISTADS will now be on the rolls of new merged entity i.e. CSIR-NIScPR.
2. Dr. Ranjana Aggrawal, Director, erstwhile CSIR-NISTADS will ne the Director of new merged entity i.e. NIScPR till the completion of her already approved tenure or till further orders, whichever is earlier. 

Above order came into effect from 1-04-21.
